How a spread reads.
The grid is wide-margin, single column for letters, six-column for the Field, and a quiet two-up for Notebook. Always with breathing room.

The peptides quietly rewriting recovery.
What the research actually says — without the hype.
Plate I · A vial of synthetic gastric peptide · 5mg · Zagreb
pp. 14–15 · I · What the molecule actually is
A peptide is a short chain of amino acids. The body manufactures thousands of them, each with a job: some signal hunger, some dilate vessels, some put you to sleep. BPC-157 was isolated in 1991 from the gastric mucosa — the protective lining of the stomach — by a Croatian research group led by Dr. Predrag Sikiric.
The hypothesis, then, was that the stomach must be producing its own anti-inflammatory and repair signals to survive the corrosive bath it sits in. They were right.
“The compound is promiscuously regenerative. The marketplace around it is promiscuously credulous.”

Reported journalism from the buildings the public has never heard of.
On a Tuesday in March we walked through the door of a six-story building on a street the cab driver had never heard of. Inside, eleven scientists were doing something the rest of the field had stopped doing in 2018.
